Where do you find design inspiration?

My designs are inspired in many different ways. Mostly from what I learn from my out-of-state clients and the ideas and challenges they bring to me. I keep informed, educated, and involved with the Design professionals in our area by participating in their professional organizations and associations like the NKBA, the Park City Home Builders Association and the Utah Remodelers Council.

How do you approach the design process?

I call myself a cabinet designer, but what I really do is listen to my clients, absorb and then join them in their excitement, sometimes leading, sometimes following, but always helping to guide them smoothly from concept and design through to the completion of their cabinetry project.

How does your aesthetic stand out amongst other designers/architects?

My design aesthetic has grown into a Mountain Contemporary style because of the influence of the Park City Resort Town I work in; we are recognized as the go to cabinet design company in our area.

What is the greatest value you provide your client?

I don’t work solo; I have a team of designers working with me so we are very accessible and we are working with other leading designers and builders to develop new design and finish solutions for a changing world.

What is your biggest challenge as a designer/architect?

Keeping up with the growth in our area is our biggest challenge now. Lead times are getting longer and there seems to be more demand than the industry can handle in our area.

Where do you see kitchen design going in the next 5 years?

I see Contemporary Design remaining strong in our area; however, I think European Kitchen Design will influence our kitchen designs. I also still see a need for traditional cabinetry as well for some clients.
