Charbroiler quick start.
Before using your charbroiler let the ventilation run for five minutes. Then simply turn the control knob counterclockwise to the high setting. You will hear the clicking sound of the igniter lighting the burner. Preheat charbroiler for about 10 minutes before adding food. To turn off, turn the control knob clockwise to the off position. Be sure to clean the charbroiler after every use. First clean the grate. When cool lift off and set in the sink. Pour very hot water over the cooked on residue. Cover with wet dish towels and pour more hot water over it. Remove remaining food with a soap filled scouring pad. Rinse and dry. For the frame remove the gas range top and soak in hot water and dish detergent. Use a wire brush to loosen any charred food particles from the mesh screen. When cleaning avoid contact with the ceramic igniter. Also a blank off plate comes pre-installed in duel fuel units. This provides a more even heat output. For gas ranges and range tops the blank off plate must be installed separately. Clean the blank off plate the same way the plate will turn metallic blue color due to the high heat. This is a permanent change.
