About Cristina Menezes
Architect, born in 1/20/1963, in the city of São João Del Rei, State Minas Gerais, Brazil. Graduated in the year 1985 in College Integrated Methodist Isabela Hendrix and started his career in 1986.Started his firm, Cristina Menezes Arquitetura, Decoração e Urbanismo, in 1990 and today her office works in civil architecture and interior designs of single-family housing and multi-family, commercial projects, corporate and institutional in Minas Gerais, São Paulo, Bahia, Pará, Rio de Janeiro and Espírito Santo, Brazil.
Participates in international fairs, shows of interior architecture and has had several works published in local and national magazines; local newspapers; books and several national sites. Has won several awards like the Sub-Zero and Wolf KDC 2008/2009, the awards of The Institute of Architects of Minas Gerais 2010 and others.

Where do you find design inspiration?
Normally, the client's style and your culture of life are my guideline for the project's concept and help me to find my design inspiration. The environment shape directs me how to compose and distribute the furniture and equipment ensuring the correct use and proper functionality of space for the client!
How do you approach the design process?
Usually, I listen to what my client wants and then, show some ideas and some photos to confirm his choice! Then I have my guideline to start the project!
What makes your aesthetic stand out amongst other designers?
Generally, I don’t lose myself in formulas ready, because what counts is to interpret the wishes, of customers, not explicit. And, for me, is in the lightness and simplicity of the spaces that the essence of the project is translated.
What is the greatest value you provide to your clients?
The important value in the Architecture and Decoration is when you have your identity and your culture in each detail… you recognize yourself in all corners! And, living well is essential to the health and happiness of the people
